Increase Your Hub Pages Profile Rating: From 27 to 83 in less than a week

Increasing your popularity rating on Hub Pages is very important and really reflects your writing quality and involvement within the hub community. Subsequent to a two year period of not producing a single writing and not participating in the hub community, I found my profile rating to be a dreadful 27. With such a discouraging rating, how in the world could I ever expect to succeed on Hub Pages? I’m here to say, if you work hard enough and actively associate yourself with the Hub community, you can increase your rating. Don’t get discouraged, get encouraged. The rest of this article will explain how I went from having a rating of 27 to a rating of 83 in a matter of days.

When I sit down to produce a hub, I can’t help but think, what if this is the one? What if this is the Hub that puts my profile on the map? While thoughts like this do find themselves scurrying throughout my mind, I also have to remember to focus on the quality of my writing. If I produce an abundance of articles, refusing to ensure my readers will enjoy reading what I have to write, I’m missing one key factor. People are not going to follow me, or even care to return to my articles if they aren’t up to par. Who wants to spend their time perusing an article that appears to be slapped together by a third grader? Remember, we want to build a reputation of quality, not quantity.

A great way to ensure your articles are going to receive your utmost quality is to write about your passions. Don’t spend time writing about what you believe everyone wants to hear. Write about what you want everyone to hear. Passion is where you will find your best work and passion is where you will find your highest quality of work. There are plenty of people in this world, and they all have their own interests. Some of them, in fact, will have the same interest as you. These are the readers you want to impress, the readers you need to impress. If you can provide other like-minded readers with quality articles that, they too, are passionate about, you will create a fan base, ultimately leading to more views.

Being absent from Hub Pages for two years really hindered my ability to express my passions and build a following. This is what I’m working to achieve right now. I’m working to find others with passions of a greener more innovative future, others with passions of bettering humanity, others with passions of uniting our world. I’ve always believed in dreaming big. No one ever succeeded by spending their life dreaming of something that can be picked up at the grocery store. When Rosa Parks and Martin Luther king dreamed big, they changed the face of our country. When the founding fathers of our country dreamed big, they created an empire that has become the strongest in the world. Dreaming big is what makes me, well, me.

Fill your writings with passions and quality will shine through on its own.

The majority of my visits are from fellow hubbers. Be sure to interact with the hub community. Update your status with interesting facts or quotes to represent who you are. Let your passions shine through in your status and provide the hub community with little tidbits of information pertaining to your interests. Time is an extremely valuable asset to society and utilizing your status bar to interact with other hubbers is an excellent way to quickly express your passions.

Be sure to ask questions, people love questions. While these little bits of contemplation may not send readers to your hubs, it will definitely show your interest in everyone’s thoughts. People enjoy expressing their views, and asking questions will allow them to do this. Moreover, you will place yourself at the origin of a great discussion, which will possibly lead to an increased following.

In addition to being the creator of questions, be sure to answer others as well. People are more likely to converse with you if you converse with them too. How many times have you been in a social setting and one person sits there like a bump on a log? No one is going to speak with the guy, or gal, who doesn’t talk. Become known in the hubber community by becoming an active member of the Hub Pages society.

These are the only two things I’ve done to increase my profile rating on Hub Pages after a two year period of inactivity. Once you understand that Hub Pages is like a small community, a community full of writers and readers searching for intellect, you will be sure to find success. Furthermore, don’t get discouraged by a low rating, be encouraged to achieve a better one. Discouragement is a nasty malediction to one’s soul and can end up leading to failure. Be sure to discuss your passions and search for others who are like-minded. These are the readers you want to follow you; these are the readers who will read your material and be able to relate to it. Spend your time inspiring others by providing them with your passions in life and quality will find its way through.
